Negative Organizations and [Negative] Powerful Relationships and How They Work against Innovation—Perspectives from Millennials, Generation Z and Other Experts

Negative organizations, where powerful people manage to keep a negative strategy in place, one which does not benefit the firm but perpetuates their power, is reality discussed herein. Positive led by positive leaders who do feel threatened brilliant employees have ideas, may be less prominent than we think and should taken for granted. Following thirty years of working both large small, author has come realize that status quo tends very strong, innovating disrupting balance only dangerous seldom succeeds. More research necessary this field prove theory right. This article aims point readers researchers right direction challenge just how organizations be. The based on experience author; look at case Nokia (the former handheld mobile phone division), seen organization; as well in-depth personal interviews with three experts (a purposive sample) topic versus organizations; and, finally, results two surveys (n = 116—millennials; n 115—Generation Z) are shared. A total 94.8% Generation Z respondents (109 total) believe exist (where prevail over innovative individuals innovation detriment global organizational strategy), encouraging study.
